L. Valalytė has so far worked as the head of the Prison Service Intervention Planning and Application Department, and is a member of the Kaunas City Municipality Council. Previously, she was Deputy Minister of Environment and advisor to K. Mažeika when he was Minister of Environment.

Genovaitė Beniulienė has worked at the National Paying Agency since 2004. For the past five years, she has served as the director of the Rural Development, Fisheries Programs and Support Department.

Kęstas Spūdys worked as an advisor to K. Mažeika in the Seimas, is a member of the Marijampolė Municipality Council, has led the accounting company “Suvalkijos žemė”, and has held chairman positions in agricultural companies “Suvalkijos ŽŪB”, “Gulbinas”, “Tautkaičių ŽŪB”.

G. Beniulienė and K. Spūdys are members of the Democratic Union “For Lithuania”, L. Valalytė participated in the 2020 Seimas elections with the Lithuanian Farmers and Greens Union.

As BNS wrote, only Rolandas Taraškevičius will continue the work of the previous Deputy Ministers of Agriculture; he is non-partisan.

Earlier, BNS wrote that K. Mažeika proposed former ministers Andrius Palionis and Ignas Hofmanas to work as deputy ministers. A. Palionis declined the offer, while at that time the new minister said he hoped I. Hofmanas would be a public advisor.

K. Mažeika, delegated to ministers by the Democratic Union “For Lithuania”, replaced A. Palionis, who was delegated by the “Aušriečiai” after the ruling coalition reshuffle.
