It is reported that in various parts of the province, Wenzhou authorities relocated about 900,000 residents and opened more than 1,000 emergency shelter stations, while about 390,000 people were evacuated from their homes in Taizhou city.

In the coastal Fujian province, maritime authorities suspended dozens of passenger ferry routes and halted more than 100 marine construction projects.

The typhoon season in the western Pacific Ocean usually lasts from May to October, when typhoons are considered more frequent.
