Changes at gas stations: have prices dropped for long?

In Lithuania on Wednesday morning, compared to Tuesday, the average prices of gasoline, diesel, and LPG decreased by 2.89%, 3.06%, and 1.55% respectively. Information about fuel prices was provided to the Lithuanian Energy Agency (LEA) on August 5 by 74 fuel trading companies operating 757 gas stations.

Data on fuel prices obtained from gas stations by 10 a.m. on August 5 show that the lowest diesel price was at the UAB “Velseka” network gas station in Kupiškis – 1.889 Eur/l.

The highest diesel price was at two “Boost Petrol” gas stations (Kelmė district Kuršukai village and Elektrėnai) – 2.199 Eur/l.

Diesel prices at gas stations on Wednesday morning ranged from 1.889 Eur/l to 2.199 Eur/l, with the average diesel price at 2.027 Eur/l, or 3.06% less than on Tuesday (August 4), when it was 2.091 Eur/l.

The lowest gasoline price on Wednesday morning was at twenty-three “Orlen” gas stations, eighteen “Alauša” gas stations, four “Emsi” gas stations, and the UAB “Degta” network gas station in Anykščiai – 1.669 Eur/l.

The highest gasoline price was at two UAB “Trevena” gas stations in Kretinga district – 1.940 Eur/l.

Gasoline prices at gas stations on Wednesday morning ranged from 1.669 Eur/l to 1.940 Eur/l, with the average gasoline price at 1.778 Eur/l, or 2.89% less than on Tuesday (August 4), when it was 1.831 Eur/l.

The lowest LPG price on Wednesday morning was at four UAB “Madalva” gas stations and the UAB “Bonsa” gas station in Tauragė district municipality (Taurai) – 0.660 Eur/l.

The highest LPG price was at the UAB “Tumasa” gas station (Mažeikiai district, Židikai) – 0.940 Eur/l.

LPG prices at gas stations on Wednesday morning ranged from 0.660 Eur/l to 0.940 Eur/l, with the average LPG price at 0.761 Eur/l, or 1.55% less than on Tuesday (August 4), when it was 0.773 Eur/l.

The wholesale gasoline price in Lithuania on August 4 was 1.55 Eur/l, the wholesale diesel price – 1.86 Eur/l (on August 3, the wholesale gasoline price was 1.62 Eur/l, the wholesale diesel price – 1.96 Eur/l).

The Brent crude oil price on the market on August 4 was 79.36 USD/bbl (August 3 – 83.77 USD/bbl).
