“Monaco” lost its place in the tournament after being denied a license to participate in the French championship due to financial violations. According to the Euroleague and EuroCup regulations, only teams participating in domestic championships can play in these tournaments.
The Monaco team previously played in the Euroleague for five consecutive seasons and reached the playoffs each time, played twice in the Final Four, and even reached the final in 2025.
The “Monaco” organization in the EuroCup will be replaced by the Sarajevo “Bosna” team from Bosnia and Herzegovina. They will play in Group D, where their opponents will also include Panevėžys “Lietkabelis”. It is in Panevėžys that “Bosna” will play the first matches of the tournament.
