Boeing reported a loss of 428 million USD, which was smaller than in the same period last year but larger than analysts had predicted.

These results include a 280 million USD loss related to the presidential aircraft “Air Force One” (VC-25B) program due to recorded delays and cost overruns. The initial 2018 contract planned to modify and equip two 747-8 aircraft for presidential needs.

Boeing also stated that certification work for the new 737 MAX and 777 model aircraft is proceeding according to the schedule set by US aviation regulatory authorities. Boeing said that the first of these aircraft – the 737 MAX 7 – is in the “final stage” of the process.
