The assaulted student underwent surgery for several stab wounds, his life is not in danger, and a school staff member suffered facial injuries, officials said.
The news portal “Index” reported that the attack occurred after a student conflict the previous day. Videos from the scene show a building cordoned off during the police investigation.

In December 2024, a former student armed with a knife stormed into a school in Zagreb, fatally stabbing a seven-year-old girl and injuring three other children and their teacher.
He was sentenced to 50 years in prison. After this attack, schools in Zagreb and other cities hired security guards to prevent unauthorized persons from entering.
