Another company of Dano Paluckas is going bankrupt

The head of the company, D. “The company’s insolvency was directly caused by the publicly initiated and widely publicized pre-trial investigation against the company’s head regarding the NMA support allocated to the company and the subsequent termination of project funding by the NMA,” D. Paluckas told the court.

He explained that after the funding was terminated, the company can no longer continue its started activities. Its assets amount to about 9 thousand euros, and liabilities – 228.5 thousand euros, reports “Klaipėda”.

The company registered in the village of Derceklių, Klaipėda district, is owned by two shareholders: Virginija Paluckienė (80%) and its head Kostas Mikalajūnas (20%).

BNS wrote that the Klaipėda District Court initiated the bankruptcy case of “Auksitas” on July 7.

As BNS wrote, D. Paluckas was suspected in an investigation related to “Garnis,” a company partially owned by G. Paluckas and bankrupt. Suspicions were also raised against K. Mikalajūnas.

At the end of July, FNTT informed BNS that a preventive measure was imposed on D. Paluckas – a written promise not to leave.

FNTT stated that the pre-trial investigation is being conducted for possible credit fraud, document forgery, possible bribery, and corruption, suspecting that the acts may have been committed by acting in an organized group.

Last May, the journalism center “Siena” and “Laisvės TV” announced that “Garnis” received a 200 thousand euro preferential ILTE loan while G. Paluckas was already serving as prime minister. ILTE suspended loan payments last June, and the company, having lost funding, laid off all employees within a few months.

After the Seimas lifted G. Paluckas’s legal immunity this May, charges were brought against him.
