Last season, A. Makurat spent in Italy, playing for Campobasso’s “Magnolia Basket” team, which was defeated by the Lithuanian champions in the first round of the FIBA Women’s EuroCup playoffs.
In this tournament, she averaged 11.4 points, 3.7 rebounds, 2.9 assists, and 10.1 efficiency rating per game.
“Ana is a player we really wanted to see in our team. Although she is still quite young, she has already gained extensive experience in various levels of international games. Importantly, she is a team-oriented player with good physical attributes, excellent shooting, and high basketball IQ, which allows her to make the right decisions at crucial moments of the game. We hope these qualities will add extra value to our team both offensively and defensively, so we are very happy with her decision to choose our team,” said the club’s sports director Arnas Labuckas.
A. Makurat began her professional career in her native Poland at just 17 years old. She went to the USA for studies, where she spent a couple of years studying and playing at one of the most decorated NCAA programs, the University of Connecticut (UConn).
