Rodrigo Londono (Rodrigas Londonas), also known as Timošenko, stated that former guerrilla leaders wrote a letter to the right-wing president-elect Abelardo de la Espriella, acknowledging his victory in the recent elections and seeking negotiations.

Previously, A. de la Espriella called Timošenko a “war criminal,” stating that he deserved life imprisonment and promised to pursue this goal.
The hard-right supporter promised to end negotiations with dissident groups, bomb drug-carrying guerrillas, and abolish any tribunals that, in his opinion, allowed former FARC leaders to avoid punishment.
R. Londono warned that the ongoing stigmatization of former guerrillas is accompanied by “messages of hatred” that threaten to incite violence.

“There are people with privileged platforms who spread such messages, and this is very dangerous,” he said. “It endangers everyone.”
He stated that former FARC leaders remain committed to the peace agreement and hope to discuss its implementation with the new government, which will begin work on August 7.
