Currently, the party has confirmed a total of 26 candidates.
In Alytus, Artūras Galakvoščius will run for the position, in Alytus district – Petras Valiūnas, in Anykščiai – Kęstutis Tubis, in Elektrėnai – Raimondas Ivaškevičius, in Ignalina district – Laimutis Ragaišis.
In Jonava district, the party nominates Renata Sorakienė, in Kalvarija – Vincas Plikatis, in Kėdainiai district – Dalo Serafino, and in Klaipėda city – Roma Karmazina.
In Klaipėda district, Bronius Markauskas will compete, and in Kupiškis district – Eglė Blaževičienė. In Marijampolė district, the party proposes Kęstutis Tumelis, and in Palanga – Darius Kubilis.
In Panevėžys district, the candidate is Edmundas Toliušis, in Pasvalys district – Danutė Jablonskytė-Raščė, in Plungė – Andriejus Stančikas, in Prienai district – Laimutė Jančiukienė.
In Raseiniai district, the “valstiečiai” propose Arvydas Nekrošius, in Rokiškis district – Lina Meilutė–Datkūnienė, in Skuodas – Stasys Gutautas. In Šakiai, Raimondas Januševičius is nominated, in Šiauliai district Česlovas Greičius.

Meanwhile, the candidate in Šilutė district is Rudolfas Barauskas, in Trakai district – Daiva Griškevičienė, in Utena district – Jurgita Daubarienė. Erlandas Galaguzas will seek to lead Visaginas municipality.
Currently, eight “valstiečiai” politicians hold mayoral posts.
Party chairman Aurelijus Veryga asserts that local government must change in response to challenges.
„The majority of our proposed candidates have strong local government experience, but we are entering these elections with new ideas and energy, ready to create future municipalities – to build ambitiously, efficiently, and responsibly,“ he is quoted in the LVŽS statement.
Direct elections for mayors and municipal councils will take place in February–March 2027.
