In the pre-trial investigation conducted by the FNTT and the European Public Prosecutor’s Office (EPPO), related to suspected abuse of office at the National Paying Agency (NMA) aimed at providing unlawful advantages to persons participating in European Union (EU) projects, the court today, that is 2026-09-17, granted the request of the European delegated prosecutor organizing the case to suspend the suspect Tomas Orlickas from the position of deputy director of the NMA for 3 months, and a set of preventive measures was also imposed on him. Additionally, suspect procedural status has been granted to several other NMA employees.

We also inform that at this stage of the pre-trial investigation, the NMA director has been granted procedural witness status. This circumstance was first reported by 15min.lt. based on sources.
