V. Putin on Friday rejected the possibility of meeting with Volodymyr Zelensky in the near future, a day after the Ukrainian leader called for a direct meeting to end the war that has lasted more than four years.

“There is no good news for Russians. By rejecting President Zelensky’s proposal for direct peace talks, Putin lost the opportunity to withdraw from his failed war. It will only get worse for Russia,” the Ukrainian minister wrote on the social network “X”.
