“He cared not only about his own farm – he cared about the farmer, the village, and the future of the Rokiškis region.
He devoted a large part of his life to farming. Diligence, persistence, interest in innovations, and the desire to move forward helped him create a strong farm and become one of the pioneers of non-arable sustainable farming in Lithuania.
We valued Jonas’s activity, his experience, openly expressed thoughts, and willingness to talk about what is important to the people of our region. We are glad that our paths crossed and that he was close to us,” the statement said.
According to him, today there remain memories, accomplished deeds, and a footprint on the land of Rokiškis, which Jonas knew so well, worked on, and cherished.
“We sincerely sympathize with Jonas’s family, relatives, friends, and all who knew him.
May the bright memory of Jonas Venslovas accompany us,” wrote the Rokiškis branch of the Democratic Union “For Lithuania.”
