A mother shared a strange experience on the TikTok platform – she said that when she came to pick up her son, she was unexpectedly surprised by the teacher, who invited her to talk. She said that the boy had mentioned a man named John Wilson several times. “He was playing outside with flags and started talking about John Wilson,” the teacher added.
Discovered photo surprised
Laighanne was surprised and confused, as she didn’t know anyone by that name, but the story gained strange momentum. “The boy identified John Wilson as ‘the flag man in America on the mountain,’ saying he was his friend,” the teacher recounted. The boy was only three years old, couldn’t use the internet, let alone read well, so he couldn’t find the information himself, writes “The Mirror”.
The teacher, having found a photo of the mentioned man online, showed it to the boy’s mother. A man named John Wilson indeed existed – he was a captain of the 8th Kentucky Infantry Regiment. “Neither of us could believe what we saw. We were stunned,” the mother confessed.
Searching further, the women found another photo, taken during the American Civil War – on November 24, 1863. John Wilson was the first soldier to raise his regiment’s flag on the mountain. “No three-year-old child could have known such information. Was my son really there? I can’t come up with any explanation why my son said he knew him and that he was his friend,” the mother wondered on the TikTok platform.
Concluding her TikTok post, Laighanne shared another strange piece of information that only further strengthened the possibility of reincarnation: “Even stranger is that John Wilson lived four miles from Irvine, Kentucky, and we live in Irvine, Scotland!” she said. An obituary published after John Wilson’s death revealed that he died at the age of 74 from cancer in his home in Kentucky.

In response to this post, other TikTok users also shared similar scenarios they had experienced. “I lost my 25-year-old brother when I was eight months pregnant. The daughter I gave birth to, at the age of three, pointed to an old school photo of my deceased brother and said, ‘That’s me when I was your brother.’ But she couldn’t even have known who was in the photo,” the woman recounted, revealing that the girl would say similar things and had a dimple – just like her brother had.
Another person recounted: “My son, when he was four, said his name was Peter (but that’s not true) and that he died at the age of 57, flying in a hot air balloon.” Another TikTok user, fascinated by reincarnation, added: “This is amazing, it makes me wonder! My three-year-old constantly tells me that in 1965 he had a brown dog named Jack, and talks about him all the time and says he misses him.”
Yet another user also added: “My son talked about his life in France, even though neither we nor our acquaintances have ever been there, let alone lived there. He said his dad died by drowning near their home. My son even knew the name of that place and a nearby castle!”
