Long-time member of the Lithuanian national team Kizala has been skating in a pair with Paulina Ramanauskaite, who decided to end her sports career this summer, since 2020. The pair participated in the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, three European and two World Championships.
K. Šipunova, originally from the Estonian capital Tallinn, formed a pair with Miron Korjagin until this summer; together they competed in three World Junior Championships. The skater, who celebrated her 17th birthday on February 17, is now eligible to compete in adult competitions according to ISU rules.
The newly formed pair trained together this summer at the “SK International Ice Dance School” ice dance camp at the Kaunas Ice Palace, and have now moved to Madrid, Spain, where they continue their joint work and preparation.

However, due to K. Šipunova’s change of country representation, the skater will not be able to participate in official ISU competitions this season. The pair will dedicate this period to training, program creation, and preparation for future starts.
“We are happy about our new pair,” said LCF president Vytautas Jasutis. “Deividas expressed a strong desire to continue his sports career. He has a lot of experience in top-level competitions, so it was important for us to help find a partner with whom new goals could be pursued. We managed to form a pair with a young and promising Estonian skater, who also already has international competition experience and is ready to step up to a higher level. Now the most important thing is to give the pair time to gel, work purposefully, and prepare for future starts.”
