Law enforcement officers quickly found and apprehended the person who is suspected of committing a disgusting crime in the smallest town in the country.
Last weekend, a pre-trial investigation under two articles of the Criminal Code was initiated at the Pagėgiai Police Commissariat – for sexual assault and rape.
The crime was committed on the afternoon of last Friday (August 21) in the town of Panemunė.
According to “Vakarų ekspresas”, a woman was attacked and injured at the lake beach.
At about 3 p.m., a 39-year-old woman was caused physical pain and was possibly sexually exploited.

The investigators who started the investigation identified the suspect and detained him.
A 38-year-old man ended up in the hands of the police. The court did not decide on the question of guilt, but the initial case data was enough for the suspect to be subjected to the strictest preventive measure: he was allowed to be arrested.
Not wanting to harm the investigation and protecting the interests of the injured woman, the police do not disclose more circumstances of this crime. If guilt is proven, the man faces imprisonment for up to seven years.
