A person who posted a video in a social network group asked where residents should turn regarding, according to him, problems arising in Rukla. The post received very sharp reactions – some commenters urged resolving the situation with the help of institutions, but there were also open calls for violence and insulting remarks about the Roma community.

Some residents said they felt unsafe and spoke about alleged recurring conflicts, noise, littering, and other public order violations.
“If you live here, follow the rules that apply here, respect your neighbors and public order. Laws and rules are the same for everyone,” wrote one discussion participant.
Another commenter urged not to make conclusions about the entire community based on the behavior of individual people: “There are no bad nations – there are only bad individuals, but the presence of bad individuals certainly does not mean the whole nation is bad.”
A person identifying as a representative of the Roma community also spoke in the discussion. He stated that only part of the conflict was made public on social networks and that circumstances preceding the filmed episode were not shown. According to him, some people cause conflicts near the Roma residential area on weekends, banging on doors and disturbing the peace of residents, including children. He asked why the full version of the video was not published and what exactly happened before the recorded fights began.

It is important that the claims and accusations presented on social networks have not yet been officially confirmed. The video published in the public space also does not allow determining all the circumstances of the conflict.
The police also reported about the fights in Rukla on August 24. According to officers, at about 9:50 a.m., a woman born in 1971, a man born in 1989, and other unidentified persons fought in a public place on Ruklio Street. The man was found to have a blood alcohol level of 0.51 per mille.
It remains unanswered who exactly caused the conflict and who were its participants. The discussion that arose on social networks shows that the situation in Rukla has become a sensitive topic, but only responsible institutions that have established specific violations and their circumstances can assess the complaints and accusations expressed by residents.
