A letter from outraged readers reached the Žmonės.lt editorial office. The woman did not hide her disappointment. She said she bought a more expensive ticket to the event’s fan zone and expected an exclusive experience and promised benefits, but ended up in complete chaos.

“During the event, a separate fan zone entrance/exit was closed, through which it was possible to access the WC and purchase water and other drinks. People near the stage were effectively cut off from these services, and to exit they were told to travel across the entire stadium and tens of thousands of people.
Suddenly during the event, I felt very unwell (not due to alcohol) – as it got darker, I felt like I might lose consciousness. When I approached security, they offered me a glass of water and told me to go through a crowd of at least 35,000 people to the other end of the stadium and said that the C – fan zone entrance/exit was closed and I had to go to the A/B zone exit.
Only when my friend asked to call an ambulance were we allowed through the fence so I could breathe, sit down, and after long requests, they allowed me to exit along the side of the stadium – along the fence. So, a safer exit existed, but it was only allowed to be used when the situation became critical and after long demands.

The question also arises about the more expensive fan zone itself – what is the higher ticket price paid for if during the event there are no normally accessible WCs, no possibility to buy water, and no safe exit for the separate zone, which simply becomes isolated?
In my case, everything ended well, but if a person really lost consciousness in a dense crowd, the consequences could have been very different and ended much more sadly,” wrote a Žmonės.lt reader.
