The operator stated on the Telegram platform that the building was empty at the time and radiation levels remained normal.
“This is not the first time that Russian forces have endangered Ukrainian nuclear facilities,” Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha wrote on the social network “X”.
He accused Moscow of “threatening nuclear safety.”
According to officials, two people died in Ukraine on Sunday during Russian drone attacks.
A 56-year-old man, who worked as a minibus driver, died in a Russian drone strike in Ukraine’s southern Zaporizhzhia region, the Ukrainian State Emergency Service reported on the Telegram platform on Sunday.
Another 59-year-old man died in another attack in the central Dnipropetrovsk region, as Russian drones and aerial bombs shelled two districts, Oleksandr Hanža, head of the regional military administration, announced on Telegram on Sunday.
A 35-year-old man was injured and infrastructure was damaged in these attacks, O. Hanža said.
Russian forces launched 236 drones into Ukraine overnight into Sunday, Ukraine’s air defense forces reported, having shot down or suppressed 215 of them.
