In a spectacular live broadcast shot, viewers worldwide could see Madonna suspended above the crowd – one part of her body on stage, the other already over the railing.
Fans rushed to share their reactions on social network X. One of them wrote: “When Madonna leaned over the barrier, I just screamed: ‘Madonna, no, don’t do that!'”
This comment received numerous approving responses. Others wrote: “That really scared me,” “I was scared to death.”
Dressed in a pink and blue corset and thigh-high boots, Madonna performed several tracks from her upcoming album “Confessions II”.
Her concert program included new songs “I Feel So Free”, “Bring Your Love”, “Love Sensation”, “Get Together”, “I Love New York” and “Hung Up”.
During one performance, she stood on stage surrounded by a group of dancers, while archival photos telling the history of the LGBTQ+ rights movement were displayed on screen.

British DJ Stuart Price, with whom Madonna has collaborated since the 2005 album “Confessions on a Dance Floor”, also appeared on stage with her.
Madonna’s risky behavior in Times Square occurred just weeks after another unpleasant incident during her performance with Sabrina Carpenter at the “Coachella” festival.
Carpenter, who was one of the festival’s main stars for the first time, generated huge public interest when she invited Madonna to the stage during her second performance.
Madonna performed her legendary hits “Vogue” and “Like a Prayer”, as well as the new song “Bring Your Love” from the album “Confessions II”.
However, the festive mood was overshadowed by the news that invaluable vintage stage costume elements worn by Madonna had gone missing after the performance.
Local law enforcement officials later explained that these items “may have fallen off a golf cart” and that there was no evidence they were intentionally stolen.
