At the MO Museum’s R. Sakadolskis Journalism Forum, journalists, experts, and scholars will discuss changes in the media, its responsibility, science communication, the impact of artificial intelligence, and the situation of the public broadcaster.

The forum will feature discussions titled “What the fight for LRT taught us” and “Who represents science?”. Participants will include journalist Rita Miliūtė, “15min” head Tomas Balžekas, professor Andrius Vaišnys, neuroscientist Laura Bojarskaitė, and experts in communications and other fields.
Public relations expert Mykolas Katkus, “15min” editor-in-chief Vaidotas Beniušis, and “Delfi” editor-in-chief Rasa Lukaitytė-Vnarauskienė will discuss artificial intelligence in the media.
At the end of the forum, the annual R. Sakadolskis journalism awards will be presented for works in the fields of factual, opinion, entertainment, investigative, and cultural journalism.
Romas Sakadolskis is a Lithuanian and US journalist, longtime correspondent and head of the Lithuanian editorial office at Voice of America, and has also taught journalism at Vytautas Magnus and Vilnius universities.

Meanwhile, the ninth international memorial L. Donskis conference “The Return of Great Powers’ Politics. A New Era for Small and Medium-Sized Countries” will take place at the Martynas Mažvydas National Library of Lithuania.
Participants will examine the situation of small and medium-sized states amid increasing geopolitical uncertainty, their opportunities to form alliances and influence international politics. These issues will be discussed from political, historical, cultural, and geopolitical perspectives.
The conference will include Lithuanian and foreign experts, among them Natasha Kuhrt, an expert on Russia-China relations and international security; Emilija Pundziūtė-Gallois, who studies Russian diplomacy and European security; international risk expert Thibault Fouillet; Russia foreign and security policy expert Domitilla Sagramoso; and others.
Leonidas Donskis was a Lithuanian philosopher, cultural historian, essayist, public figure, and former member of the European Parliament, who wrote extensively about politics, identity, memory, and European culture.
