Almost half (45 percent) of respondents who identified a beach location as in poor condition or polluted named England. This is more than three times the rate of other destinations on the list – both Spain and Wales were mentioned by 12 percent of respondents.
These results were revealed by a new survey commissioned by the travel insurance company “InsureandGo,” which involved a representative sample of 2,033 adults from the United Kingdom. Respondents were asked about their holiday experiences.
