“Hezbollah” is “Iran’s proxy, which targets all Lebanese citizens with weapons and uses Lebanon as a base to launch terrorist rockets at our cities, to send killer drones against our civilians,” B. Netanyahu said in an interview with the US television channel CNBC.

“So, if we want to save Lebanon, if we want to achieve peace between Lebanon and Israel, as I want, we must disarm Hezbollah and demilitarize Lebanon. And I know that this is a shared goal of mine and the (US) president, and this is exactly what we must do,” he added.
Meanwhile, D. Trump earlier confirmed that a tense conversation took place with the Israeli Prime Minister, during which the US president reportedly lashed out at his close ally with uncensored words.
On Wednesday, in an interview published by the New York Post, D. Trump was asked about his phone conversation with B. Netanyahu on Monday.
“You said: ‘Are you (expletive) crazy? What the (expletive) are you doing? I helped you avoid jail.’ Is that true? Did you speak to him in those words?” the journalist asked.
“Yes,” D. Trump replied. “I was a bit upset about his ongoing fight with Lebanon. I said: ‘Bibi (B. Netanyahu), we have to stop this.’”

D. Trump further stated that he maintains “very good relations” with B. Netanyahu. “We work very well together (…). I really like Bibi,” he said.
D. Trump erupted in an uncensored tirade over Israel’s threats to bomb the Lebanese capital Beirut, fearing it would harm negotiations with Tehran to end the war in the Middle East, reported the news portal Axios and ABC News television.
This conversation highlighted fragile ties between two right-wing allies who started the war at the end of February by launching an attack against Iran. The war later expanded when Israel struck Lebanon.
Israeli media rejected the reports about the conversation.
One White House official directed the news agency AFP to D. Trump’s posts on the social network Truth Social published on Monday, in which he thanked B. Netanyahu for, according to him, an agreement to withdraw troops from Beirut.
It is reported that Iran has suspended peace talks due to Israeli attacks on Lebanon.
