As BNS said, the representative of the Minister of Agriculture Justas Jaskonis, the issue was proposed for consideration by the National Crisis Management Center (NKVC).

“The minister will probably not object (to the cancellation of the emergency situation – BNS),” said J. Jaskonis.
According to him, the ministry has already collected data from farmers about losses – 25 thousand hectares of affected area have been declared. How much funding will be needed for compensation is not yet clear.
NKVC advisor Darius Buta said that the state has enough other tools to deal with the consequences of the storm.

“The consequences have been eliminated regarding electricity, applications have been collected from farmers, if additional applications come in, of course, we will accept them, the state simply has enough other tools to continue dealing with it,” BNS quoted D. Buta as saying.
As BNS wrote, the declaration of an emergency situation opened the possibility for Lithuania to apply for European aid for affected farmers.
