“This once again proves what Russia is trying to do: it seeks to divide us and cause confusion, and it must not succeed in achieving any of these goals,” he added.
“We will not be intimidated,” emphasized the German minister, adding that NATO has proven it can repel such attacks.
These comments came after Italian fighters deployed in Šiauliai shot down a drone that flew from Belarus to Lithuania on Tuesday night in the Kaišiadorys district, near the Kruonis pumped-storage hydroelectric plant.

While the drone was flying over Lithuanian territory, warning messages about the expected air danger were sent to residents of Vilnius and Kaunas counties.
No reports of damage or casualties have been received, but the drone debris is being investigated.
The NATO operation was coordinated from the Joint Air Operations Center in Uedem, Germany, the Allied Air Command reported.
