Ignas Vėgėlė, belonging to a mixed group of Seimas members, told BNS that he has collected signatures from 53 Seimas members for a draft resolution to hold a referendum on March 7 regarding the amendment of the Constitution.

“We registered an initiative by Seimas resolution to call and hold a referendum during the local elections, that is on March 7, to lower the referendum threshold, meaning that instead of 300 thousand citizen signatures, 200 thousand citizen signatures would be sufficient,” said the parliamentarian.
