The singer admits that she always had thoughts about her own song – hundreds of melodies played in her head, and there was more than one poem in the drawer. However, internal fears and lack of self-confidence prevented her from taking this step.
The main impulse for change came while walking the streets of the English capital, when she hurriedly recorded a hummed melody into a phone voice recording app, and a few days later wrote the lyrics to the song on her outdoor terrace.

“I admit, I never thought that a new beginning awaited me at a mature age. I won’t lie – it was very hard, painful, it seemed that everything was lost. But when I looked around, I realized that I am healthy, energetic, have wonderful children and friends. I have no right to hang my head – I need to tie my hair and move forward with a smile.
You need to start loving yourself and not let anyone else wipe their feet on your soul. Today the sun shines in my life, the sea calmly waves, and my soul feels good,” – confides J. Naruševičiūtė.
An important role in the artist’s return to self-esteem and creativity was played by the well-known music producer, songwriter, and guitarist Giedrius Balčiūnas (Mr.Jumbo), who took care of the arrangement, live guitars, and vocal mixing of the piece. J. Naruševičiūtė does not hide that it was his encouraging word during the filming of the “Jolė” music video in London that prompted her to take on the original work.
“Before that, I had many complexes, my self-esteem was crushed, and only thanks to Giedrius did I return to myself. Recording in his studio in Kaunas, I felt freer than ever – no nervousness or fear. I have adored guitar music all my life, and when Giedrius takes a guitar in his hands, I can listen losing track of time. I am deeply grateful to him for believing in me,” says the song’s author.
In turn, producer G. Balčiūnas-Mr. Jumbo recalls that due to his busy schedule performing with Džordana Butkutė’s group, developing the medieval music project “Hansanova,” and balancing teaching work, he simply suggested that Jolanta start creating and humming her ideas herself.

“When we recorded ‘Jolė,’ it took quite a long time: we searched for voice colors, worked on mood, diction, and rhythm. But this time everything happened surprisingly easily – we met, drank coffee, ate pasta with mushroom sauce cooked by my wife, and casually recorded her vocals. I really respect when artists come prepared and one hundred percent ready. But could it have been otherwise, knowing that Jolanta was already a professional on stage when I was pushing toy cars?” – smiles Giedrius.
Along with the song, a music video is presented, which was filmed and edited in record time by director Mindaugas Narbutas (“MiMedia”). The filming took place at the picturesque Botany Bay beach, located further from London, and to achieve the intended shot, the artist had to make a bold decision. Without waiting for natural rain, Jolanta simply jumped into the sea with all her clothes on and then drove wet for two hours back home.
The artist emphasizes that this song and video are a message to every person, especially women going through a difficult life stage:
“A kind word or smile received on the street costs nothing but warms the soul. I believed and will believe in love – it is not guilty when someone tramples on it. With this song, I want to wish not to be harsh on yourself and not to be afraid to say the word ‘I love you.’ Never give up as long as you see, hear, and have the strength to move. And if it’s hard – just sit under the starry sky at night and say ‘I love you.’
