According to the Minister of the Interior Martynas Katelynas, it is important for Lithuania to have a team capable of providing international assistance, as this increases the country’s reliability and allows for expecting help from other countries if needed.
“If we ever need that help ourselves in the future, we set an example that we also do not lag behind and are able to provide that assistance. (…) We see that all kinds of things happen in the world, even if they are not expected, such as fires and earthquakes. It is best if they do not happen, but if they do, we need to be prepared,” the minister said to journalists at the exercise site.
