This was announced following increased attacks by Israeli settlers on Palestinian villages in this occupied territory.
“Today Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Iceland, Ireland, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, and the UK confirm that they intend to introduce national restrictions and/or support European restrictions on trade (…) with settlements that are illegal under international law, or that they are actively considering these and other measures, following their national procedures,” said the foreign ministers of these countries in a joint statement.
