He added that “any aggression against Iran’s interests and security will be met with a faster, more intense, and more painful response.”
On Sunday, Iran reported that its forces attacked a US military unmanned surface vessel attempting to enter the Strait of Hormuz, after it attacked other ships in response to American strikes on three oil tankers.
Several hours earlier, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that its naval forces “targeted three oil tankers on an illegal route through the Strait of Hormuz and three ships belonging to the child-killing America in other areas.”
The US Central Command (CENTCOM) reported that its forces “neutralized” two Iranian oil tankers near Iran’s Chargo Island and “completely destroyed” an empty Iranian crude oil tanker in the Gulf of Oman.
In its statement, CENTCOM said that US warships “successfully avoided” Iranian attacks.

Since the start of the war on February 28, Iran has effectively blocked passage through the Strait of Hormuz.
Washington imposed a retaliatory blockade of Iranian ports and last month launched an “economic strangulation” campaign against Iran aimed at crippling the already suffering country’s economy.
In his speech, M. B. Ghalibaf called on institutions to manage Iran’s imports more effectively and resist the US campaign, which he said “aims to paralyze the supply chain and energy management.”
Iran’s central military command “Khatam al Anbiya” warned on Saturday that if the US continues attacks, Tehran’s retaliatory actions against US warships will be “stricter than before, and there is a possibility that they will expand.”
