The most calls until Saturday 7 a.m. – 306 – were registered in the evening in the Greater Poland Voivodeship, the fire service reported.

In the neighboring Lubusz Voivodeship, 170 calls were registered, in West Pomerania – 162, and in Lower Silesia – 124.
“Most interventions were related to removing the effects of strong wind,” Wojciech Gralec, a representative of the State Fire Service, told the Polish news agency PAP.
The Polish fire service reported that the Klecko municipality was particularly hard hit. Among other things, the wind tore off the roofs of a house extension and a barn, and a fallen tree damaged a car, a house, and two chimneys.

“The most important thing is that no one was injured during any of these incidents,” the service said in a Facebook post on Saturday morning.
Warnings of adverse weather still apply to more than half of Poland’s territory – thunderstorms, hail, and strong winds are forecast.
In August, Poland was already hit by a severe storm, which left thousands of residents without electricity.
