“I spoke with the head of the SBU, Oleksandr Poklad. Unfortunately, a Russian drone hit the central SBU building on Volodymyr Street in Kyiv, located opposite St. Sophia Cathedral,” V. Zelensky stated on the social network Telegram and added that the drone was directed straight at the SBU head’s office.

“I instructed Poklad to properly, significantly, and – if possible – symmetrically respond to this Russian attack as soon as everything is ready,” said V. Zelensky.
How the SBU reacted
On Friday evening, a comment from the SBU press service itself also appeared.
“Today the enemy struck the Central SBU Directorate building. The drone was deliberately aimed at the Security Service head Oleksandr Poklad’s office.
However, the Russians did not achieve their goal – the SBU head was unharmed,” the statement said.
According to the SBU, the damaged building will definitely be restored.
“And the Russians will face a painful response to their strikes – even more special operations, uncovered agent networks, and destroyed enemies. Glory to Ukraine!” the SBU statement said.
