The incident happened after 6 p.m., according to “Mirror”. The tragic event was captured by a surveillance camera: the footage shows a couple walking on the sand and stopping briefly. Suddenly, one of them is struck by a blinding lightning bolt, knocking the victim to the ground. Then the frightened woman’s partner bends down to help her get up. The man himself was not harmed by the lightning.

The region was affected by changing weather conditions – there was rain, strong winds, and intense lightning activity.
Endinara was visiting this region as a tourist; she was from Caxias do Sul, where she worked at a paper and forest products company. Emergency services were called; firefighters who arrived found her lying on the sand unconscious and without signs of life. Her partner had already started resuscitation, which was later continued by the rescuers who arrived.
She was then taken to the “Praia do Sonho” emergency department. Upon arrival at the medical facility, the doctors managed to restore vital functions; later Endinara was intubated and transported in critical condition to São José regional hospital. Unfortunately, although she was revived after cardiac arrest, she died on Saturday morning.
