In presenting the report, the ministry indicated that the grain harvest should reach about 37 million tons – which is more than 2% less than the average of the past five years.
The drought particularly severely affected corn and sugar beet crops – the yield of both crops, compared to the same average, is expected to decrease by 16 percent.
