“It’s nice that our two defenders have returned because we wanted to start gradually integrating them as well. There were many ups and downs during the game, but that’s normal since these are preparation matches, and that’s what we want. It was a valuable meeting to see what we are doing well and what we are doing poorly. We wanted all players to get some workload; it was visible that we have been training three days in a row, so everyone’s legs are heavier, but now the goal is for the last part of the cycle to be more challenging,” said the strategist.

The strategist was also pleased with the team’s defense in the second and last quarters, and later discussed the decision to play the end of the game without Jonas Valančiūnas and Kaodirichi Akobundu-Ehiogu.
“Yes, we do have to count minutes somewhat – J. Valančiūnas had already played his minutes, K. Akobundu-Ehiogu was somewhat tired, but I also think that at some point we might need to play with Dustin Sleva in the fifth position, so we have to be prepared for everything,” added the coach.
Finally, T. Masiulis revealed when Ąžuolas Tubelis, Marekas Blaževičius, and Maodo Lo, returning from national teams, will join the team.
