“The process is already underway and I believe that the date (the third quarter of 2028 – BNS) is ambitious, but it is the reality. We do not have much time or luxury. The process has already started, so we are not afraid of that deadline,” the minister said to BNS on Wednesday.

According to the plan, by the third quarter of 2028 Lithuania should develop an airspace surveillance and integrated air defense system designed to detect and neutralize unmanned aerial vehicles, while ensuring its interoperability with NATO’s integrated air and missile defense system.
