The majority of these funds are directed towards projects in Lithuania: this autumn a new terminal will open in Klaipėda, a conveyor for parcel sorting twice as fast will start operating in Kaunas, expansion is also planned in Ukmergė and Šiauliai, and next year the company will move to a logistics terminal specially built for its needs in Vilnius, with investments reaching 16 million euros. Expansion is also planned at the Tartu terminal in Estonia, and the capacity of parcel lockers is rapidly increasing in Latvia.

The largest investments in recent years
According to Venipak’s CEO Andrius Ladauskas, the company’s planned investments in technology this year are the largest in recent years.
“Although we invest in modernization every year, this year we are allocating the largest investments in recent years,” says Andrius Ladauskas.
He states that rapidly growing parcel flows and the labor market situation are encouraging more attention to be paid to process automation and technological renewal.
“We are investing more and more in automation, which helps increase capacity, efficiency, and reduce dependence on manual labor in processes. We plan that due to these investments, the increased capacities of logistics terminals and parcel lockers will allow more efficient management of flows during peak periods. We will strive to maintain double-digit growth despite geopolitical and economic uncertainty,” says A. Ladauskas.
From September – a 60% larger terminal in Klaipėda
From this September, Venipak will move to more modern and larger premises in the port city. The terminal starting operations at Švepelių St. 3 in Klaipėda will cover an area of 3,900 sq. m and will be about 60% larger than before. It will serve not only the port city but the entire Western Lithuania region – Klaipėda, Kretinga, Palanga, and Šilutė districts.
“We are moving to a more modern terminal better adapted for last-mile logistics. It has 30 ramps for courier vans and 10 ramps for trucks, so parcel loading and unloading will run more smoothly even during the busiest peaks. The updated infrastructure will allow receiving and distributing twice the number of parcels than before,” explains A. Ladauskas.
He adds that a new regional terminal project in Ukmergė is planned soon, and there are also plans to expand premises in Šiauliai and Tartu, Estonia. The possibility of an additional terminal in Estonia and modernization of other sorting centers is also being considered.

Twice faster capacity at the Kaunas terminal
Changes are also planned this autumn at the company’s largest logistics terminal in Kaunas. A new automated parcel sorting conveyor will be installed here in autumn, increasing the terminal’s sorting capacity from 3,000 to 7,000 parcels per hour.
“Kaunas is our main logistics center in Lithuania, connecting parcel flows from the Baltic countries and Poland with Europe. The new conveyor will be more modern and more automated, so we will be able to sort parcels faster, more accurately, and with less dependence on manual labor,” says A. Ladauskas.
In Vilnius, it is planned to move in the first half of 2027 to a new logistics terminal of 13,500 sq. meters. The highly modern sorting line operating there will also complement the capacity of the Kaunas terminal and help distribute overall parcel flows even more efficiently.
15% more capacity in Latvian parcel lockers
At the same time, the company is expanding the capacity of the parcel locker network. This year, the number of the most popular Venipak parcel locker compartments in Latvia grew by about 15%. Parcel locker capacity is also being increased in Lithuania and Estonia.
“We aim to increase the capacity of the most popular and heavily loaded parcel lockers in all three countries. This allows more efficient management of peak periods and guarantees that customers’ parcels will always be delivered on time,” says A. Ladauskas.
Currently, Venipak operates about 800 own parcel lockers and a network of 25 logistics terminals in the Baltic countries. The company employs about 1,000 employees and about 350 independent couriers.
