One person killed, two injured in a shooting in the Netherlands

Security camera footage published by the Dutch daily “De Telegraaf” shows a large group of masked individuals walking in the area, some of whom appeared to be carrying heavy weapons.

According to local media, this shooting was likely related to the criminal world of Dutch drug lord Jos Leijdekkers, also known as “Bolle Jos”.

J. Leijdekkers is one of the most wanted criminals in the Netherlands, previously convicted for his role in international cocaine trafficking. He is believed to be in Sierra Leone and is reportedly connected to the daughter of that country’s president, Julius Maada Bio.

The police stated that the condition of the injured officers is not critical.

According to the local newspaper “De Gelderlander,” the deceased was a security guard working at the house where the shooting took place.

The police reported that another shooting had occurred at this house last year as well.

“What a terrible act of violence in Overasselt,” wrote Justice Minister David van Weel on the social network X.
