Military aircraft were activated during the night, according to the Operational Command’s statement, adding that measures were taken to ensure security in areas near the Ukrainian border.
At about 4 a.m. local time (5 a.m. Lithuanian time), the Operational Command reported that the threat of Russian strikes to regions bordering Poland had decreased and military aircraft were returning to base.
“Activated ground-based air defense and radar reconnaissance systems have returned to normal operational activity,” it stated.

It is reported that Polish airspace was not damaged during the attacks.
According to the Ukrainian Air Forces, on Tuesday morning Russia launched a new wave of air strikes against Ukraine, using 656 drones and 73 missiles.
Officials reported that Russian drones and missiles struck the Ukrainian capital Kyiv and other cities, killing at least 13 people and injuring more than 100.
