Radio station "Lietus" takes on a responsible mission: "Happiness is very much needed in the summer"

What does summer need to be happy, for everyone to feel happy?

“Of course, good weather is needed. We negotiate with the Supreme Ministry about it every day. Good music is also needed, and good music is like a synonym for ‘Rain.’ A good mood is needed – we can definitely offer that too – it is the daily mission of our radio show hosts, which they diligently carry out regardless of the seasons. Of course, many good gifts are needed. And we will have them. Because from the first day of June, the Wheel of Fortune will be spinning in our studio,” shares the head of the radio station with good news.

The Wheel of Fortune will determine what gift listeners can receive immediately or give them the opportunity to enter the summer game final. The main impressive prize awaits the winner here – a trip for a family of three to the Peloponnese, to a five-star hotel with “all inclusive.”

Registration is HERE

“By the way, the Wheel of Fortune will visit other Lithuanian cities in June. Listeners will be able to register places for us to come, and we, in turn, will come, broadcast shows from there, and those who join will be able to try their luck with prizes themselves. I believe that all of Lithuania will be happy after this summer. Or at least – happier than before. ‘Rain’ promises that,” says G. Vaičikauskas.

Happiness is in simple things

And what can the hosts of “Rain” shows not imagine their “Happy Summer” without?

“For me, happiness in summer is the sea, sun, sandy beaches, a book, and strawberries! It seems so little is needed for that happiness – just a few days following the ‘Dolce far niente’ script and life immediately becomes more beautiful! And what about concerts, festivals, celebrations under the open, starry sky, those warm nights and walks until dawn! It’s sweet just to think that all this is still ahead!” says Vilija Dailydaitė, host of “With the Sun.”

“For me, happiness in summer is not rushing! After the school year ends, I really enjoy slow mornings, coffee on the terrace. Swimming in the lake and walking barefoot! Warm evenings… Also, a big happiness is when it doesn’t rain after going to the sea,” smiles Simona Čėsnaitė-Matkevičienė, host of the show “With a Song” and singer.

“For me, happiness in summer is a slow walk with the dog, stroking daisies blooming in the meadow and counting swallows playing above the head, cooling off in the lake after the heat… Happiness in summer is crushed wild strawberries with cottage cheese or fresh potatoes with butter and dill from the garden bed. Happiness in summer is the rain of falling stars in August. Even mosquitoes raging in the evening are happiness because it’s a sign that tomorrow will be warm. Summer is happiness! Happiness is summer,” shares the host of the show “Hearts,” called the love ambassador of the radio station “Rain,” Kotryna Olekaitė.

“For me, happiness in summer is open car windows, good music, and the feeling that you are collecting memories, not plans,” confides Živilė Jakutavičiūtė, host of the show “When There’s No Need to Hurry.”
