As R. Valinskis told the portal Žmonės.lt, they got married at the St. Apostles Peter and Paul Church in Plateliai. He and Evelina chose it for an important reason.
“We chose this church because Plateliai is a sentimental place for us. Here we created our first home together. And the church captivated us with its uniqueness, vibrant life – since the church is wooden,” he told Žmonės.lt.
The couple celebrated the event at the Plateliai homestead “Maudutis,” where their closest ones gathered.
“All the dearest people we invited agreed to participate, which made up 60 people,” he said.

The couple remembers the wedding with a big smile and does not hide that the impressions have lasted a long time.
“It seems that the heart still lives to the rhythm of the celebration. Glances, hugs, toasts, smiles – everything spins in the mind like a movie you don’t want to stop. Remembering every detail, the heart trembles with joy. We are exhausted but extremely happy. Time just flew by, so it’s hard to realize that everything ended so quickly and finally our dream came true.
This celebration was created not only from our love but also from all the people who became part of our story that day,” the speaker says.
The first dance of the newlyweds at the wedding
He does not hide that many things helped them create a special celebration, but the most important were close people.

“Family is our support. Their pride and gentle words gave meaning and depth to the celebration. Friends are true warmth and energy, their laughter and sincerity created an unforgettable atmosphere. We are very grateful to the homestead team who took care of us so that we could just be and enjoy,” Rokas said.
The event was hosted by Mindaugas Rauktys, and the music made the guests dance by the band “X‑Band” and DJ Daivaras Ivanauskas.
During the wedding, the couple surprised guests with a romantic detail – the wedding dance. As Rokas jokes, during rehearsals he found out he has a talent for movement.
“During the first rehearsals, it turned out that I have a hidden talent for dancing. Choreographer Rima Bielovienė confirmed that I’m not ‘wooden,’ although I thought otherwise myself.
The rehearsals were intense but also very fun. Of course, there was no shortage of excitement. It felt like we danced forever during rehearsals, but on the wedding day everything passed in a flash,” the man said.
