46 thousand ESO customers in Lithuania still do not have electricity

“Currently, 83% of customers who experienced power outages due to the storm have electricity restored. Today, more than 1,000 electricians and engineers are still working across Lithuania to restore power to 46,000 of our customers,” Rasa Juodkienė told BNS on Friday.

As BNS reported, power supply is expected to be restored to all residents by Saturday. ESO promises to compensate residents for losses if power restoration takes longer than 72 hours.

During the weekend storm, one person died, four others were injured, and power supply was disrupted for more than 268,000 users.

Due to the storm and significant losses to farmers, the government declared a state-level emergency on Wednesday.
