Until then, the owner of the company was also a German citizen living in Dubai, Juris Sudheimer, who controlled the company since September 2022.

“Due to age and current and past health problems, J. Sudheimer is transferring control of the company to the mother of his children,” the company commented to the “Verslo žinios” portal.

The publication “The Insider” and the investigative journalism center “Siena” reported that until 2023, “SCT Lubricants” directly supplied products to Russia, and the recipient was the company “JSC NLK” operating in Kirov, whose ultimate beneficiary was J. Sudheimer. Trade continued even after direct sales were stopped – in 2025, Russia imported lubricants from “SCT Chemicals FZE” based in Dubai, whose ultimate beneficiary is also J. Sudheimer.

The portal “15min” reported in 2024 that UK authorities are investigating whether “SCT Lubricants” imported engine oil and lubricants into the country at significantly lower – dumped – prices. Last May, BNS wrote that the UK would temporarily apply anti-dumping duties to the company.

The UK authority launched the investigation at the request of the British lubricant manufacturer “Aztec Oils,” which noticed that since the start of Russia’s large-scale war in Ukraine in February 2022, the volumes of lubricants imported from Lithuania and the UAE increased, they were sold in the UK cheaper than their production and import costs, and as a result, local manufacturers lost up to £100 million (€118 million) in revenue per year.

Additionally, “Siena” reported in 2022 about suspicious transactions worth €200 million through the “Luminor” bank, linked to “SCT Lubricants” – it was reported that the company conducted many transactions with offshore companies.

“SCT Lubricants” stated that it committed no violations and denied some of the leaked data altogether.

Last year, the company’s net profit fell by 3.9% to €41.9 million (in 2024 – €43.6 million), revenues decreased by 11.1% to €205.2 million (€230.7 million), according to the company report submitted to the Register Center.

According to it, last year the company paid the shareholder €65.7 million, and the year before – €55.8 million in dividends. This year, the company did not plan to pay dividends.
