Minister: it is expected that the 25-point passing threshold in the national maturity exams will remain

According to the Minister of Education, this could also be the case in the future.

“The results of the state maturity exams over the past two years allow us to state that the 25-point passing threshold for the state maturity exam is optimal. It does not cause huge jumps in failures, as happened after the experiment with the 35-point threshold, but it is significantly higher than the previously existing 16-point threshold. We expect that the 25-point passing threshold will be applied in the future as well,” said Raminta Popovienė on Tuesday.
