The first episode shows all the behind-the-scenes preparations of the “Žalgiris” basketball players, from the team’s arrivals at Vilnius airport to tours of the “Žalgiris” arena and footage from the first training session.

“We are facing a very intriguing year, a lot of excitement. Managing that is not always easy, but we have a lot of talent. I think it will be a fun year – we have to prove our potential, as we did last season. We had a good season, but I think our expectations are higher this year,” said Dustin Sleva shortly after landing in Lithuania.
At the beginning of the episode, viewers will also enjoy a lively journey of Kaodirichi Akobundu-Ehiogu from the hotel to the arena, during which the new Žalgiris player demonstrated his knowledge of Lithuanian basketball and culture.
“I know Arvydas Sabonis – he is a legend of Lithuania and the Portland Trail Blazers. I also know Mindaugas Kuzminskas – he, like Jonas Valančiūnas, was also in the NBA 2K game,” said K. Akobundu-Ehiogu.
In the “PREPARATION” episode, you will also see K. Akobundu-Ehiogu’s reaction to a photo of cold beetroot soup, Sterling Brown and Saben Lee’s first visit to the “Žalgiris” arena, and behind-the-scenes footage from players’ medical and physical tests.
“I know Saben, we played together on the Detroit Pistons team. We also played a bit together in the G League, so it will be fun to meet – he definitely has explosive energy,” said Deividas Sirvydis about his acquaintance with S. Lee.
Finally, D. Sleva revealed what type of shots he practiced in the first days, and the Žalgiris players gathered for the first training session, before which the “Žalgiris” sports director Gediminas Navickas gave a speech in the locker room.
“We believe we have the most talented team in the history of the Žalgiris club. We are always here to support and help you. We also promise to speak frankly and be open when difficulties arise.
