This is the first Lithuanian victory this month. Previously, our team lost to Estonia 108:110 in overtime and was defeated 74:88 by the University of Arizona team.
However, even more striking than the results are the attendance numbers – just over 8 thousand people wanted to see the Lithuanian national team over three games.
The Lithuanian clash with the Estonians at Kaunas “Žalgiris” arena was watched by only 3,491 spectators. This is just a little more than one-fifth of the largest arena in the country, which can hold almost 15,500 people.

In Alytus, where the Lithuanians played against Arizona, 2,843 spectators attended (arena capacity – 5,500), and in Vilnius, only 1,984 spectators saw the national team’s game against the University of Michigan students, although the largest arena in the capital can hold almost 10,000.

These are very poor attendance figures, last seen during the coronavirus period.
