On August 22, a severe storm hit Lithuania, causing the cancellation of many performances scheduled for that day at the last minute.
Due to bad weather, the event “Žolinės Plungėje 2026” scheduled to take place at the Babrungas Stadium in Plungė was canceled. Džordana Butkutė, Donatas Montvydas, Dovi Mi, and the group “SHWR” were supposed to perform there.
“All ticket holders will be refunded. Please be patient – we need time to handle the technical processes of ticket refunds.
We deeply regret that we will not be able to meet. Thank you for your patience, understanding, and support,” reads the “Visit Plungė” Facebook page.
However, it was later announced that D. Montvydas will still perform in Plungė, at one of the city’s bars.
The electronic music duo Beissoul & Einius was also scheduled to perform at the “Basanavičius Fest” in Vytautas Park, Kėdainiai, on Saturday. Due to potential danger, the concert was moved to the Kėdainiai city festival.

“IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT!
Basanavičius FEST will take place, but the event locations are changing.
Audience safety is the most important, so, considering the forecasted weather (mainly gusty winds), WE ARE UPDATING the event PROGRAM.
Various artistic installations that were supposed to be set up near J. Basanavičius Street can be found at the Kėdainiai Cultural Center and Vytautas Park,” reads the post from the Kėdainiai Cultural Center.
The group “Abii” and “Juodvarnis” planned a joint performance at Lukiškės Prison.
“With great sadness, we inform you that the Abii x Juodvarnis joint concert scheduled for today will not take place due to the storm and is currently canceled.
We will look for a new date and invite you to meet at another time.
We will provide more precise information about the plans early next week. If the new date does not suit, ticket refunds will be issued,” reads the “Juodvarnis” post.
On Friday evening, the long-awaited event “Juoda Palanga” began in Palanga. “Solo Ansamblis” was supposed to perform on Saturday – their cancellation was announced in the afternoon. Their concert was rescheduled to August 23.
“Due to extremely dangerous weather conditions, we decided not to risk your and our safety. Today’s concert is postponed to tomorrow, August 23,” they wrote, adding concert details.
