The gathered spectators will see a stage of the Central European Championship, the Lithuanian Championship and Cup competitions, and the second stage of the Baltic States Championship. The last stage of the Lithuanian championships will reveal our country’s “Supermoto” champions, who will face competition from true European giants.
S1 class: chilling drama for the title and Finnish landing
In the prestigious S1 class, this season has not only brought many surprises but also kept the championship intrigue alive until its very last stage.
It is already certain that last year’s national champion Matas Leckas will not defend his title. The athlete, injured during the competition held in Estonia, has ended his season due to the injury.
Before the season finale, the main title contenders are separated by just one point! Hugo Bykovas leads with 164 points, but Gediminas Jomantas is right behind him with 163 points. Additional intrigue is added by the championship rules, which state that the final position is determined by the highest total points scored in four (out of five) stages. This interesting rule means that if both athletes score the same number of points in the last stage, the champion would be Gediminas Jomantas, who is currently behind but has raced more consistently throughout the year.
To triumph, H. Bykovas must outperform G. Jomantas.
Speaking about the jointly organized Central European “Supermoto” championship stage, G. Jomantas praised the stronger competition: “I have been preparing for this last stage for some time – both physically and mentally. I hope to reach good form and show everything I can in the final races of the season. The Central European championship stage will be a great opportunity to compete with very strong athletes and gain even more experience.”
The biggest threat to the Lithuanians will come from the Finnish riders’ landing. Eemeli Åstedt, one of the strongest racers in the entire Nordic region, will come to start at the Central European championship stage. Last year, he triumphed in the prestigious S1 class of the Finnish championship and debuted in the World “Supermoto” (S1GP) championship, finishing fifth!
Two years younger than E. Åstedt, Onni Korkeamäki (18 years old) won silver in the same S1 class in the Finnish championship last year and also made it into the World “Supermoto” (S1GP) championship.
Many eyes will also be on Niclas Ahlqvist. The Finnish wunderkind, only fifteen years old, is predicted a bright future in motorsport. In 2025, he dominated the strong Swedish “Supermoto” championships and won the champion titles in two classes (“Open” and “Asfalts Cup”).
As if that were not enough, the championship intrigue will also be stirred by the Estonian Aksel Pärtelpoeg (133 points), who still has chances to become the winner of the Lithuanian open “Supermoto” championship. However, for this to happen, the Lithuanians ahead in the overall standings must face misfortune.
In the S4 class, we will see a Lithuanian circuit racing legend
The question of the Lithuanian champion in the S4 class, where athletes compete only on asphalt, is also not yet resolved. Gabrielius Skirtunas has 165 points, and Andrius Šlajus has 127 points. They are separated by 38 points, so a better performance in the last stage could still change the leaders’ ranking.
Great intrigue will also be caused by the fact that Vaidas Nomeika, who just became the Lithuanian circuit racing vice-champion in the most powerful “Superbike” class, will start in this class’s competition. The interest lies not only in the fact that the second fastest circuit racer in the country will line up at the start but also in V. Nomeika’s personal qualities. This racer has the spirit of a true fighter. Regardless of how he feels, injuries, or other adverse circumstances, he always sees only one goal ahead – victory. V. Nomeika fights for it until the end, even if the ground slips from under his feet.
In 2024, he proved this by racing most of the circuit racing season injured, sometimes even taking painkillers before the start. Despite this, he became the national circuit racing champion in the B1200 class, ignoring pain and difficulties.
A serious challenge to V. Nomeika and other Lithuanians will be Tatu Makkonen. One of the strongest representatives of the Finnish S4 class, he has previously won the Estonian and Latvian “Supermoto” champion titles and has represented his country even in the European championship.
A great danger to others will also be Loris Ford-Dunn from Great Britain, who finished fifth in the 2001 European S4 class championship and recorded impressive lap times (0:54.24 sec.) during training.

H1 class
The H1 class, always very popular among participants and held on combined (asphalt and off-road) surfaces, has a clear favorite before the last stage. Danielis Jankelait, who has scored 194 points, leads confidently, while Herkus Nartautas, who is 42 points behind him (with 152 points), still holds only theoretical chances to win the title.
It will be interesting to see the Lithuanians alongside the Estonian grand Henry Järv. The racer aiming at the Baltic States championship held this weekend does not limit himself to just the Baltic countries. In 2023, he became the champion even in the Finnish championship (S4 class). H. Järv has competed before at the Aukštadvaris kartodrome, so he will be very fast on this familiar track.
S1 40+ class
Among the athletes competing with the most powerful equipment aged 40 and over, Ruslan Bykov is already unbeatable; the title is guaranteed for the racer who has only won races so far, but Jerzy Głodek from Poland will try to challenge him in these competitions. In his country, J. Głodek is known as one of the most influential figures in “Supermoto” sport, distinguished by deep knowledge of motorcycle technical parts and nurturing his country’s young generation of athletes, who often compete in championships he organizes.
H4 class
In this class, three Lithuanians will compete for the national champion title: Martin Michalčionok (135 points), Tauras Mlinkauskas (118 points), and Evaldas Ulčickas (92 points), who is somewhat further from the leaders. While the first two athletes are separated by a competitive 17-point difference, E. Ulčickas, 43 points behind the leader, will have to work hard and hope for a stroke of luck to catch up.
The fate of the Pitbike class was decided at the Kačerginė track
Traditionally, the “Pitbike” class has always been characterized by mass participation and close competition, but Dominykas Razmislavičius, who injured his leg during the circuit races in Kačerginė and ended his season early (having previously won all “Supermoto” races), was forced to yield to Kamile Jankelait. For this reason, the young athlete, who has been racing very steadily, has already secured the national champion title.
However, the last races of the season will not be a walk in the park for our athlete. She will be challenged by Oliver Püüding from Estonia, who is winning one title after another and stands out as one of the brightest young Estonian “supermoto” racers.
“Superquad” class
In the quad class, Pijus Vaivada will try to defend the national champion title he won last year (2025), currently leading with 147 points this year. Interestingly, his closest competitor will be his father – Rolandas Vaivada (113 points). Vitalijus Bercevič, who is third in the overall standings and 47 points behind P. Vaivada, has only theoretical chances to snatch the national championship gold on the last day. However, this is a technical sport where nothing can be guaranteed.
Youth classes – more than one unfinished story
In the “Minimoto” class, Erikas Razmislavičius leads with 172 points, but his lead is not enough to calmly await the final. Martinas Goda is 30 points behind the leader, and Rimantas Plečkaitis is 34 points behind. This means both chasers remain real contenders for the championship title. Not all is lost for Benas Mickeliūnas, who is 36 points behind.
In the SM50 class, last year’s champion was Noelis Rajackas from the “RAJA Racing Academy” team, but this year he has faced unexpectedly fierce resistance from Estonian Rasmus Pärtelpoeg and teammate Joris Kvedaravičius. The Estonian, who won four consecutive race victories at the start of the season, later missed the third stage, allowing Mantas Rajackas’ trainees (N. Rajackas and J. Kvedaravičius) to pull ahead. Moreover, in the fourth championship stage in Poland, N. Rajackas overtook the Estonian competitor. Therefore, before the last stage, N. Rajackas leads with 188 points, but J. Kvedaravičius is only 24 points behind first place, and R. Pärtelpoeg’s deficit is 46 points. This means the fight for the title extends to this weekend’s races.
In the “Pitbike” women’s class, the national champion title has already been secured by Adelė Krutkytė.
Another interesting battle awaits in the SM65 A class. After four stages, Vytis Sabaliauskas has a perfect 200-point result (8 race wins out of 8 possible), but Anton Jämsa and Tauras Veliulis are hot on his heels – both with 164 points. They are 36 points behind the leader, so on the final day, both can still change the championship outcome.
In “Pitbike Junior,” the title will be contested by the championship leader Ruslanas Petkevičius and Rustam Vešnickij from the “Superbike Children’s Academy” led by Adomas Dautartas, who is 20 points behind him. Therefore, a fierce battle awaits in the last races of the season.
The competition will be held on August 23 (Sunday) at the Aukštadvaris kartodrome.
