“I definitely don’t feel my best right now. When I felt the pain, I couldn’t push off my foot at all while serving. This problem has been bothering me for some time, and after many matches played in Canada and Cincinnati, the pain only got worse. I felt fine before the match, but one wrong move and something happened. Now it’s hard for me to walk, and we will know more after the MRI tomorrow,” Rybakina described the situation.
The 27-year-old tennis player could have become the new WTA ranking leader this week, dethroning Aryna Sabalenka (WTA-1).
