The Deputy Chief of the Vilnius County Police Headquarters, acting as Chief, Marek Gulbinovič, together with the newly appointed Chief of the Vilnius City Second Police Commissariat Elena Smoliakiene, visited the Rasų Eldership, where they met with the elder Lina Rimkevičienė. During the meeting, the current situation in the community and crime indicators were reviewed. The meeting held at the Eldership focused primarily on ensuring residents’ safety, preventing public order violations, with special attention given to one of the most pressing recent issues – the distribution and use of narcotic substances in the Markučiai sub-eldership.

In discussions with the elder, recent activity results were discussed, as well as the effective security measures implemented by the officers. According to the elder, targeted police raids and increased patrolling in Markučiai helped reduce tension and stabilize the situation related to the distribution and use of narcotic substances.
The meeting participants agreed to continue close cooperation – to meet regularly, promptly exchange information about problematic areas, and jointly seek the most effective solutions to ensure community safety.
